Zhangbei Flexible DC Project is a flexible DC power grid project. There are four + 500 kV flexible DC converter stations in Zhangbei and Kangbao, Fengning regulating terminal and Beijing receiving terminal, with a new converter capacity of 9 million kilowatts.New Zhangbei - Kangbao - Fengning - Beijing - Zhangbei four end flexible straight ring network overhead line 648.2 km;Project dynamic investment 126.4亿元。On December 14, 2017, it was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, and it was fully completed and put into operation by the end of 2019 to the first half of 2020。The project has been included in the National Development and Reform Commission's "13th Five-Year Plan for Electric Power Development (2016-2020)" and "Action Plan for Energy Technology Revolution and Innovation (2016-2030)", and was recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as "Made in China 2025" major landmark project in 2018。
